jsiddall@gmail.comI'm a graphic and web designer living in a small house in Toronto, Ontario with my common-law husband guy, Chris. He's an architect. He also builds computers from scratch but thinks it's geeky when I get all snobby about fonts. Which I do sometimes. We get along rather well most of the time, and when we don't, I don't think he's even aware because I tend to squelch my anger (and spew it into my journal). Healthy!
I'm a graduate of Sheridan College. Before that, I went to the University of Waterloo and did two years of architecture school. I was total shit at architecture and flunked that baby but good. I graduated graphic design with an award. This seems to run in my family - my brother was disaster on wheels until he found photography, and then, holy cow. Just goes to show you have to be in the right place, or *we* do, at least.
My brother's name is Chris, too, which will make some entries confusing.
I spend too much time in front of a computer. I have gained weight because of this, but that fact hasn't fully-permeated my consciousness so I feel fine about myself till I see photos. Maybe I'll just Photoshop my current head onto photos of myself at 23. I'm here at the computer anyway.
I have: wonky kidneys that could fail, or not, when I'm older, several self-destructive, nervous habits like nail-biting and skin-picking, blood pressure that would be stellar for normal people but is considered high if you have wonky kidneys, and recurring bouts of depression, but the best damned immune system I have ever run across in anyone. And since everything except the nail-biting is in check right now, I'm doing pretty well.
